Welcome

My photo
I am married to a wonderful man & the proud Momma to one handsome little man. Saved by God's grace, I pray that my life is glorifying to the Lord on a daily basis--but know that I fall short quite often. Currently I am finding my way in the most rewarding/challenging job I've ever had; that of a SAHM. Welcome to my life!

Birthdays Are the Best!

As I mentioned in my last post... the last couple weeks have been filled with preparation for Andrew's birthday. All of the hard work payed off as we headed to the final extravaganza last Friday, his actual birthday. Both of us took the day off of work in order to cram in the festivities I had planned for the day...

...first we headed to breakfast at Crazy Otto's, a local diner here in Lancaster which makes the best omelette's known to man! Leaving more than satisfied we departed the Antelope Valley towards our first destination.
Sadly, I was not on top of things and don't have any pictures to share with you! However, Andrew was completely stumped as to where we were headed. As we exited the 91 freeway and drove a couple streets I began to ask him if he had any ideas as to where we were headed. Completely confused he mentioned he remembered having to head down to the Anaheim area to complete a drug test for work...I laughed and assured him that his birthday surprise did not involve anything too invasive :0).
We pulled up to K-1 indoor go-cart racing and the big smile on his face reassured me that I had done well! After reviewing what each colored flag meant in racing terms (I forgot pretty much all of them) we were off! Although my start is what some would call "rocky" (if slamming into the wall denotes rocky) Andrew spent no time leaving me in his dust. Out of 5 racers Andrew placed an impressive second and I followed up in third. The other two racers gave me a run for my money, my guess is they both were around 10 years old, ;0D.

Our next stop was not anything too out of the ordinary...

...although I felt slightly unoriginal for taking him to Disneyland, we had a GREAT day! The park looked spectacular with all of the fall decorations...

...they even had an area in which kids could color and make crafts, but my favorite by far were the pumpkin carvings...

...Beat that!

Birthday dinner consisted of P.F Chang's followed by dessert at The Cheese Cake Factory, a piece of chocolate, peanut butter, cookie dough cheesecake to be exact (don't worry I walked home to offset the calories). So the special day consisted of lots of love, laughs, and yummy treats...definitely a success!

Hope all of you are well! Happy Fall!
